Scuba diving requires an underwater breathing apparatus or scuba which the diver uses to breathe underwater. Cliff diving is for the adventurous by heart. It is probably the least complicated water sport. You don’t require any special equipment or clothing. You just plunge into the water from dizzying heights. It is like taking the plunge from an eight storey building.
Synchronized swimming is a team or a solo event in which the swimmers perform a synchronized routine of dance, gymnastics and swimming. It is accompanied by music. The swimmers need exceptional breath control, endurance, flexibility, grace and artistry. Synchronized diving is a sport where two divers perform synchronous diving. The diving can be performed simultaneously or mimic the opposite diving form. The divers need a lot of practice to get the perfect timing when they dive. Barefoot skiing could be a little risky for beginners. It is an intimidating sport that is done barefoot where skiers ski at high speeds. Not many will find this sport appealing due to the fact that it has to be done barefoot on sea water.

Triathlon involves three disciplines of sports which will also include a water sport. It is a multiple stage competition where the athletes compete against each other in a sequential format on three different disciplines. It is mostly running, cycling and swimming. The sports involve covering varying distances in immediate succession for each sport. Aquajogging, also called deep water running, is a sport where the athletes jog or run moving arms and legs without touching the floor of the pool. A floating device should be worn around the middle to keep the athletes afloat.
Canoeing involves paddling a canoe using a single bladed paddle. It is completed against other paddlers. Dragon boat racing is a popular sport held during the dragon boat festival. It is a human powered wooden boat shaped in the form of a Chinese dragon. Water Polo is played in a swimming pool by two teams with seven players each. It is a combination of football and basketball played in the water with a buoyant ball.
